Knowledge Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline or preferred experience
Years of Industry Experience:
  • Minimum 0-3 years professional experience in engineering or business management discipline
  • Preferred 2 years professional experience in engineering or business management discipline
Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret Clearance

For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Jr. Systems Engineer This exciting position will have the chance to work on just about any aspect there is as it pertains to developing a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to identify and assess interface risks for Small Unmanned Surface Vehicles (sUSVs) in order to effectively manage integration. Additionally, this role will be assisting in the creation of an MBSE framework that enables the customer to focus regression testing on areas of high interface design risk for sUSVs.

What does this mean to you? We are seeking expertise in MBSE such as:
  • Experience with requirements development and able to write hardware and software CI level requirements
  • Experience with functional flow development and able to develop task level activity and sequence diagrams
  • Experience with modeling and architecture and able to develop hardware architecture models
  • Experience using No Magic's MagicDraw modeling tool suite
  • Experience developing basic model scripts, plugins, or report scripts
Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD Secret level clearance.

You’ll have the opportunity to work in systems, software, security, and cloud engineering while learning industry-standard engineering practices. This role supports projects of limited complexity, allowing you to gain hands-on experience and grow your expertise. You may be responsible for tasks like analyzing system data, assisting in the design of models and simulations, and developing computer programs. Your ability to gather, organize, and analyze data to provide logical conclusions will be critical in this role. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a must.

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD Secret level clearance and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related computer science field. A plus if you have any certifications such as CompTIA Security+!
