About the Role. G2 Ops supports mission-critical defense and technology initiatives by solving complex operational and engineering challenges. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Senior Systems Engineer to support the Navy's AEGIS Weapon System and associated combat system elements, with a focus on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system architecture development, and engineering analysis.

In this role, you'll contribute to requirements management, architecture configuration management, and mission-level systems engineering for complex naval combat systems supporting U.S. Government and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) baselines while working alongside a team that values innovation, technical excellence, and continuous growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate system architectures and engineering models supporting naval combat systems, weapon systems, and associated combat system elements, ensuring alignment with operational requirements, mission objectives, and established systems engineering practices.
  • Apply MBSE methodologies to define system requirements, architecture relationships, functional behaviors, interfaces, and system configurations while improving requirements traceability, model consistency, and engineering analysis across complex system environments.
  • Perform systems engineering analysis, technical assessments, and trade studies to evaluate system functionality, performance, interoperability, and integration considerations across U.S. Government and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) technical baselines.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and configuration management of system requirements, technical documentation, engineering baselines, system interfaces, and architecture products throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
  • Evaluate system design changes, integration dependencies, and mission-level functional requirements to identify technical risks, assess operational impacts, and develop engineering recommendations supporting system development and modernization activities.
  • Support research, development, systems integration, testing, and evaluation activities associated with Navy and Department of Defense weapon systems, including technical reviews, engineering assessments, and verification of system requirements and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Government personnel, contractors, systems engineers, software engineers, integration teams, and other technical specialists to resolve engineering challenges, coordinate technical deliverables, and support the successful development and integration of complex defense systems.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated professional systems engineering experience supporting complex systems, weapon system development, integration, research, development, or test and evaluation activities.
  • Working knowledge of Navy and/or Department of Defense weapon system development, systems engineering processes, and systems integration activities.
  • Experience applying systems engineering principles, requirements analysis, architecture development, configuration management, or MBSE methodologies to complex technical systems.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams and coordinating technical efforts with Government personnel, contractors, and other engineering stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, evaluate, and communicate technical engineering products, including system requirements, engineering analyses, architecture documentation, or integration assessments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex engineering concepts to technical teams and Government stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently plan, coordinate, manage, and evaluate technical assignments while contributing to the successful delivery of engineering products and program objectives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Experience applying MBSE methodologies, SysML, or comparable modeling approaches to support system architecture development, requirements management, and engineering analysis.
  • Experience supporting Navy combat systems, weapon systems, or other complex Department of Defense systems throughout the development, integration, and evaluation lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with system architecture frameworks, requirements traceability, functional analysis, interface management, configuration management, and model-based engineering environments.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Government and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) system configurations, technical baselines, or engineering activities.
  • Experience participating in engineering technical reviews, systems integration working groups, test and evaluation efforts, or cross-functional engineering assessments.
