About the Role. G2 Ops supports mission-critical defense and technology initiatives by solving complex operational and engineering challenges. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Systems Engineer (Mid–Senior Level) to support the PMW 770 LBUCS Receive program of record.
In this role, you’ll provide lifecycle systems engineering and acquisition support for LBUCS Receive engineering changes and contract actions. You’ll help the program office translate operational and technical needs into executable engineering products while balancing performance, cost, schedule, integration, and sustainment considerations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support systems engineering activities across the system lifecycle, including requirements, specification, design, integration, test, verification, validation, deployment, and maintenance
- Provide technical support for LBUCS Receive engineering changes, contract actions, and acquisition program activities
- Develop, review, and maintain system specifications, requirements, technical reports, interface documentation, engineering plans, and decision-support products
- Evaluate software, hardware, web application, and hybrid system solutions for technical completeness, resilience, interoperability, and mission suitability
- Assess proposed engineering changes for impacts to system performance, interfaces, cybersecurity, configuration, cost, schedule, and technical risk
- Apply systems engineering principles to program planning, technical reviews, risk management, cost analysis, and schedule execution
- Coordinate technical activities among government customers, contractors, engineers, program managers, logistics teams, cybersecurity personnel, and other stakeholders
- Support technical baseline management, configuration control, requirements traceability, and engineering review processes
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and integration challenges, and recommend practical mitigation strategies
- Communicate complex engineering information clearly to technical and non-technical decision-makers
- Support the development, rollout, maintenance, and sustainment of resilient software, hardware, and integrated system capabilities
- Contribute to informed acquisition and engineering decisions that improve system readiness and mission effectiveness
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, computer science, mathematics, or another STEM field
- 7+ years of relevant systems engineering, acquisition engineering, system integration, or complex system development experience
- Experience applying systems engineering principles across requirements, specification, design, integration, test, verification, validation, deployment, or sustainment activities
- Experience supporting the development or maintenance of integrated software, hardware, web application, or hybrid technical systems
- Ability to assess technical issues in relation to program cost, schedule, performance, risk, and acquisition objectives
- Experience developing and reviewing technical documentation, engineering plans, requirements, specifications, reports, and decision-support materials
- Strong technical analysis, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with government customers, contractors, engineers, program teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Department of Defense or Department of the Navy acquisition programs
- Experience working within a program office or supporting a government program of record
- Familiarity with Navy communications, undersea communications, command-and-control, or complex system-of-systems environments
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle activities, engineering change processes, contract actions, and technical baseline management
- Experience supporting engineering change proposals, configuration management, technical reviews, or acquisition documentation
- Familiarity with model-based systems engineering, digital engineering, or system architecture practices
- Experience working in cross-functional or customer-facing environments

Compensation & Benefits. The annual salary range for this position is $140,000–$175,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
