For this opportunity, We’re seeking an experienced Mid to Senior Program Manager to oversee multiple Department of the Navy (DoN) contracts across the systems engineering discipline. This role entails leading a diverse team, managing financials, schedules, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The candidate will actively monitor technical performance, develop strategic compliance frameworks, and liaise with senior defense officials to align projects with national defense goals, fostering continuous process improvement.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Lead and drive the performance of complex projects or contracts in a PMO setting, involving cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include overseeing project requirements, developing and managing schedules, formulating and executing budgets, solving problems, mitigating risks, and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Lead and develop staff members across various functions, requiring the ability to handle challenging conversations effectively and constructively.
- Demonstrate proactive and innovative thinking in understanding customer requirements and recommending solutions to address customer challenges.
- Possess a strategic mindset that goes beyond day-to-day tactics. Decisions made will have a long-term impact on our success.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, capable of effectively presenting in front of large audiences and senior executives. This includes the ability to professionally and persuasively gain consensus and address concerns, even when the viewpoints expressed may not be widely favored.
- Show a genuine passion for program management, embracing constructive feedback as an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
- Manage high-pressure situations with professionalism, maintaining focus and decorum in challenging circumstances.
Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD SECRET clearance and have a PMP CERTIFICATION from PMI.
