Let's talk salary. The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 and goes up to $135,000, based on qualifications and what we are asking you to do in this role. This is a fantastic opportunity with a growing Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) providing leading edge systems modeling, systems engineering, cybersecurity, cloud engineering and strategic support and innovative solutions. For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, technology-focused, team-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team. G2 Ops is looking for MBSE experts responsible for delivering cutting edge solutions to our customer’s most challenging problems. We’re looking for independent thinkers who can get up to speed quickly and be a part of our teams’ success moving forward. We need people who are motivated to succeed and have sound Systems Engineering knowledge.

Our team is paving the way and transforming our customers engineering teams to using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) SySML models, virtualization platforms, and digital twins operating in secure cloud environments to build, update, and maintain these important systems. You will support decomposition and allocation of top-level requirements to lower lever requirement documents.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience applying model-based systems and digital engineering  procedures, processes, and methodologies/techniques.
  • This position requires a U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level. We’ll help you get it if you don’t already have one.
  • Experience with UML/SysML modeling languages and/or DoDAF/UAF frameworks.
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering is required from an accredited university.
  • Experience with aspects of systems engineering such as requirements elicitation, analysis, derivation and traceability, functional analysis and allocation, WBS, trade studies, modeling and simulation, metrics, risk management, integration and test, verification and validation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, along with effective time and project management skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Agile management/collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc).
  • Experience with various model-based system-engineering tools - Cameo Systems Modeler, Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect, etc.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology (IT), computer system infrastructure, data communication and network system, Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, and routing protocols.
  • OMG-Certified SysML Professional (OCSMP) certification (Model User, Model Builder Fundamental, Model Builder Intermediate, Model Builder Advanced).
  • Security+ certification.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to communicate clearly with stakeholders and engineering leadership teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and Customer expectations are being met. The ability to analyze new and complex program-related problems and create innovative solutions that integrate schedule, technology, methodology, tools, and financial aspects are critical components to this position.

Duties Include:

  • Participate in system requirements reviews and maintaining requirements documentation.
  • Identify potential system interface requirements.
  • Review system engineering documentation to validate specifications are accurate and meet system needs.
  • Produce and maintain system engineering models using modeling languages such as Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
  • Produce artifacts to support customer objectives.
  • Participate in project/program technical risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.

Next, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. Our ideal candidate would already possess an active DoD Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain TS/SCI without issue. Don’t let it stop you from applying if you don’t have a clearance. As a Systems Engineer supporting the DoD, this person may be required to work onsite approximately three (3) to four (4) days each week due to the system classification and program needs.
