Knowledge Requirements: Experience with Unanet Financials or related Accounting/Financial Management systems is strongly preferred. Knowledge of FAR cost principles, FAR/DFAR regulations, and maintaining DCAA compliance for government contractors is essential.

Years of Industry Experience: 8+ years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in government contracting and DoD accounting.

Let's talk salary. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $140,000 based on your qualifications. We also offer a competitive benefits package and have fringe benefits offered throughout the year. The benefits package value ranges from $13,000 for a single employee, and up to $28,000 for an employee and their family. Still not convinced? Allow us to elaborate. For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Controller. This exciting position will oversee the financial affairs of the organization, including financial reporting, audits, cash management, financial planning, budgeting, and financial compliance with regulations such as GAAP, FAR, and DFARS. The Controller will ensure that all financial records are maintained accurately and that reports are generated in a timely manner to support strategic decision-making. This role will also involve improving financial processes, implementing internal controls, and collaborating closely with department heads to develop strategic financial plans that align with organizational goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and monitoring performance metrics to track financial health, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and providing financial insights to drive efficiency and profitability

In this role, you will lead the accounting team, providing guidance and support in all areas of financial management. You will be expected to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, streamline financial operations, and ensure compliance with DoD regulations, including maintaining compliance with DCAA standards. This position requires a deep understanding of cost allocation methods, overhead management, and financial risk management to ensure the organization's financial sustainability and regulatory compliance.

What does this mean to you? We are seeking expertise in areas like accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash forecasting, financial planning, financial analysis, and budgeting, particularly within the context of government contracting and DoD regulations. Experience with Unanet Financials or similar systems is highly preferred. Additionally, experience with cost models, profit and loss statements, variance analysis, and the ability to conduct complex financial modeling will be crucial to succeed in this role. You will also need to have strong leadership skills to manage and mentor the accounting team effectively, ensuring high performance and professional growth within the team.
